In case you missed it, Foresight DOES have a quick save and quick load functionality. This is to save you folks the unnecessary navigation through the clunky options menu.
In fact, it's made to help you save without the need of ever going into the options menu.
How to start quick save/load?
You need to save at least ONCE. Press F6 to start the proceedings. The game will prompt that you need to save at least once.
Select your save slot - that will be your default quick save slot for your current game. Do not overwrite this slot or else quick save will overwrite it the next time you quick save.
Subsequently, you'll just need to press F6 to quick save. A prompt will appear to confirm.
Press YES to save.
There'll be a notification that tells you "Game saved." as a notification.
How to quick load?
You must have quick-saved at least once, establishing the slot. Press F7 to quick load a previously quick-saved game.
A prompt will appear to confirm the quick-load.
Press YES.
The game will be loaded automatically.
Can I change the keys?
Of course! Go to Options -> Controls and you'll see the key bindings there near the bottom right.
