Dear all,
V1.05b has been released as build 510716. This patch mainly focuses on fixing very hard to find bugs as well as any regression errors reported earlier. It's a continuation from V1.05a - with some features added.
=== New Implementations ===
- Volume calculations has been corrected. You may have to adjust your volume for music. The lowest volume will still be 5% loud. If you must, please switch off the sound component completely.
- All in-game sounds will be dampened by 65% whenever there's an in-game speech going. This is to enable you to listen to what the speech is about without in-game sounds interfering. However, you may want to zoom the camera upwards if the sounds are still too loud for you.
- Implemented sound bank module for future use.
=== Adjustments ===
- Adjusted scoreboard's title text per item in 4:3 resolutions to be slightly away from the item progress bars.
- Small planets are corrected in their texture orientation. Previously it was mirrored horizontally.
- Reduced the amount of time needed for intelligence information to EXPIRE. This means if you've spotted a structure, it'll not last that long even after your scout has left the area. The purpose of this adjustment is 2 fold.
1) With perceived enemy presence, the OST Juke Box will always play battle music even when you're not in the danger of fighting.
2) Now you'll need scouts in the area (dormant or not) to constantly update the intelligence on the field. Otherwise that intelligence will expire and be removed from your player intelligence database.
- Adjusted harvester-class ships and structures to be avoiding other friendlies completely as long as they're found to be in the space. This only applies to harvester-class ships/structure; other ships have an increased arc compared to previous patches. This means, all ships now are less tolerant of other ships in its vicinity.
=== Bug fixes ===
- Fixed a bug where a previously dead commander, after being resurrected and assigned to a new fleet, will cause the old fleet panel to be visible.
- Fixed a bug where reassignment of fleets in the same slot cause the fleet text to be printed incorrectly in the fleet panel.
- Fixed a bug where a ship is assigned to a fleet and the selection ring colour doesn't change (and vice-versa).
- Fixed a bug where the mission briefing room will continue to brief the player when a dialog box appears as the game ALT+TABs in and out. When the game is restores, the mission briefing continues even when the dialog box is still waiting for an answer.
- Fixed a bug where ships that are not affected by the command radius limit DO NOT HAVE ANY COMMANDS after they're being assigned to a fleet. This also means that you can't unassign them unless the fleet itself is in command radius.
- Fixed a bug where structure builders within the fleet doesn't leave the fleet properly when the player task it to build/morph into a structure.
- Fixed a bug where enemy presence isn't taken into considerations when plotting a safe path. Now enemy presence serve as a more serious deterrent compared to uncharted sectors.
- Fixed a bug where fleet panels inadvertently even when invisible, blocks out mouse clicks, causing ships to suddenly be irresponsive even though it lights up when you hover your cursor over it.
- Fixed a major bug with saving games where the AI can suddenly go lame without further action. That should explain why some players are able to defeat HARD AI without any losses while suffering some loss dealing with NORMAL AI.
- Fixed a bug where Fleet Advisors cannot be demoted.
- Fixed a bug where replaced Fleet Advisors continue to be appointed as a fleet advisor by status.
=== Conclusion ===
There're still several less severe bugs out there to be fixed gradually. But the good news is I'll be able to focus more on implementing more features that will help improve your experience in the upcoming V1.06 patch!!
Have a nice weekend!
