Dear all,
As I've mentioned earlier, V1.06h patch was aimed at fixing several acute issues that were reported while we were optimizing the multiplayer. As such, there were several items that were left out or weren't properly done. One of which is the wormhole exit mechanism.
We worked as quickly as possible to deliver V1.06i patch - which consists of several important fixes.
Therefore I present V1.06i patch - Build ID: 577585. Please update your copy of Foresight.
Fixes
1) Fixed / Finished implementation of wormhole optimization exit code. The original code works on single player but have problems with multiplayer in terms of correctness and synchronization.
2) Fixed a bug where the default BBLibCfg.dat file was tainted during deployment. As a result, the game will try to start in 1920x1080 even when it may not be supported. A proper file has since replaced your current copy for this patch. This is for the folks who might have encountered Foresight failing to run the 1st time.
P.S. By updating to this patch and running Foresight, the "unable to create render device" should go away. If not, please post on the discussions page. I'll be more than happy to assist you.
3) Fixed a potential bug where players might be able to assign orders to ships that switched factions. Fortunately, this only occurs in Campaign mode.
4) Fixed a bug where evacuation of officers can be done even when the ship that was previously selectable, now isn't due to some script events. By allowing officers to move away like that, it may cause a problem since officers can't move into ships that are unselectable. As a result, this patch fixes the rule. If the ship is no longer selectable, the officers onboard will not be considered for evacuation. Though, this only happens in Campaign mode.
5) Revamped Mission 24 after extensive feedback on play style and game possibilities. Now, the mission has been redesigned to be stricter with what it really wants and updates the objectives more often. Enemy patrols will no longer be impeded due to timing and will always attack as planned. (Can't reveal much due to spoilers).
Note: Ship capacities do NOT matter when the script assigns new characters onboard. This is a new rule so as to faciliate story telling without being impeded by gameplay possibilites. P.S. Lock will still be required to bring either the Avenger or Endeavour to the objective. This will be enforced in-game as well.
Conclusion
After this patch, barring any further issues, we'll head back into multiplayer optimization and correction of behavior. After that, we'll head into stats and achievements, integration with steam API and eventually, the full multiplayer match making system.
Thanks for your support and understanding! Your feedback makes Foresight a better game! So please, keep them coming!
Regards,
Jeremy
