Dear all,
I apologize that we took SO long to get this up and running. We should have done so in the first place though there were other issues and considerations that were discouraging us from doing so.
Steam Cloud pickups
In any case, Steam Cloud for Foresight is up. Basically, the following things are automatically saved into the cloud:
1) Campaign progress
2) Saved games
3) Key bindings
Please note that - if you have installed Foresight on multiple machines with different saved games - only the latest copy will be uploaded onto the steam cloud.
Therefore, please either:
1) Save again into an empty slot
2) Rename the saved game manually via browsing local game files -> /saves/ForesightSaveN.fss (where N stands for the slot number)
Pros
1) Obviously, even after uninstallation, your saved games will be preserved and be restored when you decide to re-install Foresight again.
2) This also works if your HDD has crashed or for some reasons, some processes wiped out the saved game.
3) Lastly, it's good if you need to play Foresight on another PC with the SAME steam account.
Cons
1) Only the latest saved game will be taken - so if you have HAD 2 saved games occupying the same slot - chances are it'll be overwritten by latest copy.
2) Total number of save slots reduced to just 1 set - if you had multiple copies installed across different machines - the saved games occupy their own slot and will never be overwritten.
Conclusion
After much consideration and taking into account player behavior - it's best that we adopt the steam cloud solution so that you'll be able to access your saved game anywhere anytime and always have a backup in case your local copy is corrupted or missing.
P.S. You'll still need to delete the corrupted file manually - best before exiting Foresight.
