Dear all,
Due to the urgency of some of the issues reported, we've decided to release part 1 of V1.07c patch as V1.07c-1.
The build ID is - 684182.
New Implementations
- Burn effect now is more pronounced; you'll definitely know when a ship is being burned.
Modifications
- UNC repair costs, rates and delays have all been corrected to reflect the actual value. Not all ships and structures will have the same percentage of worth of repair vs building a new unit. Every unit will have its own unique factor and value.
Simply put - it's fairer and more worthwhile to repair ships and structures now.
Good: Fair price, doesn't cost an arm or leg to repair ships anymore, making repairs worthwhile.
Bad: Repair delays has been adjusted - some structures used to be in "god" mode as long as they're being repaired and multiple ships can't even take it down. This is no longer possible. Ships and structures in general will now take longer to repair to its full health.
Fixes
- FIXED the black triangle issue PERMANENTLY. Tested with high particle density with a special test set that emits lots of particles unnaturally - no black triangles observed.
- Fixed a rare but serious bug where the game suddenly disallows you from picking a ship or drag-dropping to select ANY ships.
- Fixed a bug where customized flight paths can be created across sectors that have wormholes that are ALREADY sealed.
- Fixed a bug where failure to create a flight plan with a fleet doesn't cause a notification to appear in the main panel and/or fleet panel. In fact, the fleet panel incorrectly reports that fleet is heading towards that sector.
- Fixed a bug where enemy ships under construction inside an enemy shipyard can actually fire their weapons. This is no longer possible.
- Added message to inform player during multiplayer if a game can't be created due to a lack of a network device. Previously, the "Create Game" button doesn't do anything if there isn't a network device.
- Fixed a problem between fleet selection and 2-step orders such as attack, move and launch bombers. Buttons used to appear incorrectly or even randomly, exposing incorrect functionality - this has since been fixed.
- Fixed a bug where loading games doesn't read the amount of time previously given, causing the next game to always report the full amount of time played even when the previous block had already been reported. (thus making it easier to get the play hours achievements).
Conclusion
That's it for now. The next batch will contain Pugalenthi's new voice and other minor bug fixes.
We're sorry that some of our new customers might have encountered the regression errors introduced during implementation of certain new features and that might have led to a lesser impression of Foresight.
Please try Foresight again and do not hesitate to let us know if there's a problem.
Thanks,
Jeremy
