Hello everyone,
This is an important update, because it enhances the gameplay experience and gives even more life to the world of Caelum. It also includes several bug fixes and improvements, as well as some performance updates.
New Things Added
- Added rivers that can be traversed with various ways or are a part of the environment.
- Added forest trees as part of other assets or as standalone ones.
- Added Outside border regions to make areas less chaotic for new players without undermining the path choices that are already in play.
Fixes
- Ensured the unstucker is stable and will trigger on very rare occasions where physics force player to enter a collider. The unstucker then will quickly move player to a safe spot.
- Using the skill 'Blink' will now show the trail images of the correct sprite of the player spritesheet
Improvements
- Improved the trail images of the player when using the skill 'Blink' by using a better smear effect based on player speed
- Now only updating the material of the player trail images just before activating the skill 'Blink' instead of the Update, increasing fps
IMPORTANT NOTE: If anyone has previously saved the game in an area that is now covered with outside border regions, a new game is required to continue the playthrough. This is a one time update that will not occur in the feature. The full game will already include all these enhancements and no new game will be required at that time.
The developer,
Petros Giannopoulos
