Hello to the gamers. My name is BossyPino- and I’m excited to be sharing my first update post.
Wow! A real update! And to think this whole crazy game was just a blip in my neurons a couple of months ago.
Breaking news- Muffles finally has a face
Our faceless protagonist Muffles’ woke up one day in the Maddox Prison System with no idea how they got there. Between those wide-eyes they’re a blank slate, with memories wiped and everything.
To go along with their empty head, their body seems to have been similarity deprived, with anything of significance removed and smoothed over.
Needless to say, poor Muffles’ first trip to a mirror was HORRIFYING. Luckily, they had their cell-mate there to comfort them in the aftermath of their shocking revelation.
I designed Muffles’ smaller face portrait before this new, larger one. I had originally conceived them to be completely noseless, but it ended up looking better for the face structure to show a scar where it had been removed.
In other news…
With the release of the game’s demo coming up soon, I’m working my ass off adding features, dialogue, and new art to Episode 1. I stand by my decision to have the game’s demo encompass the entirety of the first episode but MAN there’s a good bit of content for me to work on.
The first episode is pretty set in stone, but I’m excited to reach out for people’s thoughts on what to include in Episode 2. I’ve got all sorts of ideas on how to make the game even bigger and better as it goes on, and I need help choosing what to include!
Stay tuned!
I’m planning on having these updates coming in on a weekly basis. This is such a great way to keep in touch with alla-y’all playing MLS and I don’t want that opportunity to go to waste.
Next week I’m hoping to talk more about what I’m adding to combat, so new card art, and maybe even showing off a battle.
