Writing is progressing well. It’s been quite a challenge. It’s my first time writing this much. The themes lean toward the darker side, but I’ve been working to balance them with lighter moments here and there. Playtesting has provided at least some amusing or unexpected surprises, often in that “video game logic” kind of way, so I'm not that concerned about it being entirely gloomy. That said, there will be a few disturbing dreams scenes.
The demo has undergone significant changes over the past few months, but the mechanics are now finalized. I’m really happy with how the cult-building, villager manipulation, and magic system have turned out. They feel unique and interesting. The gameplay puts you into the shoes of a real sociopath.
