Hey ducky friends!
First of all, I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself properly. I'm a solo dev from Italy, and D3AD HAND is my first real attempt at making a full adventure game for Steam.
I approached it as a learning experience, and honestly, I wasn’t sure if anyone would actually play it! Seeing people enjoy the game—even though it’s short and simple—has been incredibly rewarding.
At first, I didn’t have the confidence to start with something more complex.
That’s why working on R3D STAR is such a big step for me. It’s a much bigger, more ambitious update, and I’m pouring everything I’ve learned into making it the best experience possible.

New Feature: In-Game Help Line
One thing I’ve been working on is an in-game help line—so if you get stuck, you can call Dimitri for hints! This should make the game more accessible and prevent frustration while keeping the challenge intact.

Progress Update: The Second Part is Complete!
The second part of R3D STAR is done and currently in testing! Playtests suggest it takes at least 2 hours to complete and lets players explore 26 new locations. That’s already much bigger than the base game!

A Bit About the Story
A mysterious radio message requesting help prompts Yuri and Stalin to leave the bunker and venture into the tundra, searching for the distress signal’s origin. What they find out there… well, you’ll have to play to discover! 👀

What’s Next?
Next month, I’ll be focusing on developing the final part of the game. The Game Design Document is ready, so I’ll soon start drawing the new locations. I’m excited to reveal that R3D STAR will feature multiple endings!

Mixed Feelings, But Pushing Forward!
I’ll be honest—it’s been exhausting. Part of me was tempted to move on to a new project, using everything I’ve learned to start fresh. But another part of me wants to make D3AD HAND the best it can be, listening to your feedback and following my heart.
Thank You!

Your support means everything. If you enjoyed the game, please leave a review and share it with your friends—it helps a solo dev like me more than you know!
