Hello everyone,
Here's a quick update on what I'm working on for the next major update.
Blueprint & Circuit Sharing
The big focus is making it easy to share and browse circuits. Every blueprint will be shareable on Steam Workshop directly from the game — think "dupes" in Garry's Mod but for circuits. You'll be able to browse other players' blueprints and grab components for your own projects.
Blueprint-Level Linking
Blueprints will be linkable to levels. When you complete a level, you'll be able to hit "create blueprint from solution" — the blueprint gets associated with that level, making it easy to share and browse specific solutions. Should be a great way to learn from how other players approach problems.
This also opens up a nice workflow for large projects: say you want to build a custom CPU. You can create a custom campaign with a level for each component, develop them one by one, and track everything through linked blueprints. Modify a level, re-run it with the linked blueprint — as long as the level ID doesn't change, it all stays connected.
Custom Levels & Community Content
Beyond blueprints, players will be able to create and share full campaigns, tutorials, and wiki entries on topics of their choice. Once the campaign is done today, there's not much new content to explore — this should change that.
Interface Rework
These features need a more flexible UI, so I'm also reworking it — including switching to a proper font system for better content browsing and future localization support.
Targeting May for this update. Let me know what you think — more updates as things progress!
Thanks
