Motor Tournament – Major Update!
It’s been a little over six months since the last update, and we’re excited to finally share what we’ve been working on. A lot has changed under the hood—literally—and we’ve got three big reasons for the wait.
Framerate-Independent Physics
Vehicle Physics v0.4
We’ve completely reworked the vehicle physics system to run independently from the frame rate. This means smoother, more consistent handling across different machines, and most importantly—fairer multiplayer races.
This is a big step forward in making the gameplay feel solid and synchronized for everyone.
Note: The system is still in development and does not yet represent the final quality or feature set.
Multiplayer Overhaul
Vehicle Sync v0.2
Multiplayer has gotten a major upgrade! After lots of testing and iteration, we’ve introduced a more stable and feature-rich system. Here are some of the key improvements:
-
Spectator mode added
Automatic join/leave handling
Upgraded core gameplay loop
New respawn system implemented
These changes aim to make multiplayer matches more seamless, reliable, and fun.
New Map in Development
The first official map for Motor Tournament is now underway!
We’ve also been building out terrain tools, testing new workflows, and creating custom textures to support it. Currently, the new map is the only one available, but it’s designed specifically to complement the current game mode—and there's much more to come.
Thank you all for your patience and continued support! We’re still early in development, and community feedback is incredibly valuable to us. Please keep sharing your thoughts and suggestions—we’re listening and learning as we go.
