Hey Opreators!
As mentioned before, we want to keep you updated and share some news with you. Many of you are already waiting in the starting blocks, eager for Early Access ...and honestly, we feel exactly the same way.
Over the past weeks, things have noticeably gone quieter on our end. That was due to several negotiations and conversations we needed to have in order to figure out the right path forward for both us and Echoes Below. We’ve never made a secret of the fact that we’ve reached our financial and personal limits. Because of that, we seriously considered investors, publishers, and bridge deals for quite some time.
However, the deeper we looked into those options, the clearer it became that what would be required from us would essentially mean putting the game on hold and starting something almost like a parallel project. After many discussions, we decided to take the harder .. but for us, the only right...path and remain independent. Exactly as we originally intended from day one.
That’s why we’re genuinely excited to tell you that Echoes Below will be launching into Early Access very soon.
We won’t commit to a specific date just yet ... as you know, game development is never entirely predictable. What we can say, though, is that we’re closer than you might expect. At the same time, we want to protect ourselves by taking some pressure off and avoiding unnecessary stress during this final stretch.
We truly want to thank every single one of you for your patience and the incredible support that has reached us across so many platforms. And thank you as well for the many ideas and suggestions regarding funding and support.
Earlier today, inspired by a post from one of our discord member, we once again discussed how we could overcome this final stretch. We decided on a completely pressure-free and voluntary option where everyone can decide for themselves. It was important to us that we only receive what is genuinely necessary - nothing more.
That’s why we chose Ko-fi. We’d really appreciate it if you’d take a moment to check it out. Every bit of support helps more than you know!
The main reason we haven’t been posting frequent updates recently is simply that producing the visuals for them (videos, GIFs, polished showcases ) takes a significant amount of time from our already packed schedule.
We will be sharing more details and insights regarding the current development status, changes, improvements and all the cool new stuff on our Discord soon. We will update the Steam Store Page accordingly, including trailer(s), screenshots and also drop new community updates once we find the time to do so.
Have a great week!
