Hello, everyone! 🌸 It’s been a little over a month since Hirogami launched, and we’ve spent that time reading each and every review, comment, and social post you’ve made, sitting in on every livestream we can, and eagerly listening to your thoughts and feelings on the game, its content, and the ups and downs of your experiences.
We’ve heard your requests, and we’re excited to announce that Hirogami will receive a major update on Steam on October 23rd, 2025 at 10AM PST / 1PM EST!
(PlayStation 5 will also receive this update at a slightly later time due to certification timelines and platform-specific processes. We will share a date for PS5 players as soon as we know more. Thank you for your patience!)
Here is what you can expect when Hirogami’s new update lands:
Adjusting fixed camera angles in various chapters.
Lowering crane requirements for unlocking late-game levels.
Reducing overall enemy HP for all chapters.
Rebalancing combat and reducing enemy count for all chapters.
Adjusting “No Damage” mission objectives to be easier in various chapters.
Making checkpoints more frequent in various chapters.
Shortening charge time for all fold form upgraded abilities.
Increasing the hitbox size for Hiro’s tornado wind attack.
Adding accessibility option to turn chromatic aberration on or off.
Adding accessibility option to reduce brightness of certain in-game transformations, such as building bridges or other structures.
Patching collision bugs that cause Hiro to get stuck in environmental geometry.
Increasing text size for Steam Deck gameplay.
Many of these features have already been implemented, and are being tested internally as we speak! This update would not have been possible without your thoughtful feedback, honesty, and patience, and we’re hopeful the changes being made will uplift our most important priority: making Hirogami the absolute best it can be for our players.
From all of us at Kakehashi Games & Bandai Namco Studios Singapore, thank you for your trust. We hope this update instills confidence in our efforts to give Hirogami - and its wonderful community - the care, respect, and love it deserves. ❤️
In addition to these exciting changes, we’re also happy to announce that the Japanese physical release of Hirogami on PS5 will land on October 23rd as well! 🎉 Be sure to keep an eye out for it at your favorite import stores!
Once again, thank you so much for playing Hirogami. We’ll share more details as soon as we can!
All our love,
The Hirogami Team
