HELLO
We are currently focusing primarily on gameplay development, while also not forgetting the importance of game performance, which directly affects the overall player experience. At this time, we have a fairly solid roadmap to address performance improvements, and we hope you will be satisfied with the upcoming updates. But for now, let’s take a look at what’s included in this current update.
Bug Fixes

We’ve improved some sections of the fences to allow bullets to pass through. Previously, there were certain types of fences where players could not shoot through, and we’ve now replaced all of them. These fence types had a significant negative impact on game performance.
Truck Can Loot

We’ve changed the trucks so that they can now be looted. When a player loots a truck, they will receive materials for crafting and essential survival items such as medicine and basic weapons. The loot contents vary, but the trucks will remain in the same locations even when players return to them later.

Trucks are scattered across the entire map, both in the city and desert areas. However, not every truck can be looted, so players will need to pay close attention. We are planning to add even more lootable trucks in the future, so please stay tuned for our upcoming updates.
Electric Trap

In this update, we’re starting with electricity systems. Generators are now linked to nearby shock traps. When a player activates the generator, it automatically powers shock traps within range. This feature is in its early testing phase, and we plan to expand it in future updates with more dynamic and fun fuel-connection mechanics across various devices.
Optimization
After Dead Metro began placing a large number of objects into the world, the game faced serious performance issues. As a result, we paused all other development and focused solely on optimization for nearly two months. Now, we’ve resolved almost all major performance problems. Framerate has doubled, from 40–60 FPS to 70–120+ FPS on the same hardware. There are still a few minor areas that need improvement, particularly with interactive foliage, such as collecting sticks, cans, and concrete blocks. However, these are no longer difficult tasks and will be gradually refined in upcoming updates.
Fast Interaction

Previously, inserting a battery into a shock trap or adding firewood to a campfire required opening the inventory of that object. In this update, you can now quickly interact by simply holding the item in your hand and using the interact button — no need to open menus. This system works with all fuel-dependent devices. Additionally, for plant beds, players can now hold a bag of fertilizer and interact directly to apply it.
Build in city

In previous updates, players weren’t allowed to place structures in city zones.
This was due to concerns about performance impact
and the risk of players straying from the intended gameplay flow.
However, this restriction went against the open-world survival experience we aim to create.
With this update, players now have creative freedom to build in city areas.
Height limitations still apply to keep gameplay balanced.
So go ahead — start building your home.
Why the Delay
At this point, we are still unable to clearly present the gameplay in a way that helps players fully understand how to play and experience it meaningfully. This is because we are in the process of adding essential assets for gameplay, alongside improving the game world’s environment to better guide players visually, for example, using landmarks or long-distance visual navigation cues to direct gameplay.
The current version of the infected still lacks excitement and does not deliver a satisfying gameplay experience. We are planning to improve various aspects, including their animation, the rewards players receive after defeating them, and more engaging gameplay mechanics.
These are the reasons and key factors why development and improvement must continue until we reach the gameplay quality we’re aiming for. We hope to eventually deliver a gameplay experience that truly satisfies players.
