Becoming a camera was certainly not part of Luna’s plans.
But now that she has to deal with this new form, she might as well make the most of it.
And in MAFATE, a camera can do much more than just take pictures.

Discovering Réunion Through a Lens
For Luna, everything is new.
She comes from mainland France and had never discovered Réunion, its landscapes, its people, or its stories.
Her camera becomes her first way of exploring this unknown island.
Every encounter, every creature, and every landscape can become a new photograph.
But for Luna, these images are not simply things to collect. They also allow her to keep a record of her journey.
Moments spent with Elios, unexpected encounters, places discovered along the way…So many memories that she can capture forever.
Seeing Things Differently
Being a camera also allows Luna to change the way she sees the world.
Through her lens, she can observe MAFATE from a different perspective and focus on details she might never have noticed otherwise.
And because the same scene can be viewed in many different ways, Luna also has access to several filters that allow her to alter her photographs.
Some simply give an image a different atmosphere.
Others can reveal an entirely new way of looking at what surrounds her.
Photography therefore becomes a true part of her exploration.
But… That’s Not All
Luna quickly discovered that her new body came with a few extra features.
She can change shape. And some of these forms allow her to use abilities specific to the animals she transforms into.
Flying, exploring in a different way, reaching certain places…
A useful ability when you have to travel through a place like MAFATE.
And yes, she can also become a duck.
We still don’t really know why.
But Luna seems to be taking it pretty well.

An Adventure for Two
Luna isn’t discovering MAFATE alone.
She accompanies Elios on his adventure, and together they will travel across the island, meet its inhabitants, and discover their stories.
For Luna, this exploration also has a more personal dimension.
By following in Elios’s footsteps, she discovers part of her own grandfather’s story and, through him, an island she had never known before.
Photographing, observing, exploring…
Each discovery helps her better understand the world she has just entered.

A New Form, A New Story
Luna still remembers her human life.
She knows that one day, she would like to return to that form.
But for now, she has an island to discover, Bibiis to help, and many questions she would like to find answers to.
Because the further she goes, the more her transformation seems to be connected to what is happening in MAFATE.
Maybe becoming a camera wasn’t simply an accident.
Maybe this new form is precisely what allows her to discover something she could never have seen otherwise.
And besides…
She still has a few filters left to test.
