In the heart of the Indian Ocean lies a truly unique place, shaped by nature, towering mountains, and the stories of the people who call it home: the Cirque of Mafate on Réunion Island.
It is within this extraordinary setting that MAFATE was born, our cozy exploration game developed by Blue Ramen, an independent game studio from Réunion Island.
Step Into the Shoes of an Unusual Mail Carrier
In MAFATE, you play as Elios, a young mail carrier who travels the trails of this remote valley to deliver letters to its inhabitants.
Accompanied by Luna, your living camera, you'll discover a world where every encounter, every landscape, and every little detail has a story to tell.
Throughout your journey, take the time to explore Mafate's winding paths, observe the local wildlife, photograph breathtaking scenery, and meet charming characters along the way.
A Journey at Your Own Pace
There's no need to fight or rush here. MAFATE is all about slowing down, embracing curiosity, and enjoying the simple pleasure of discovering a place beyond time.
Through MAFATE, we want to share a different side of Réunion Island - one rich in breathtaking landscapes, unique biodiversity, and deeply human stories.
Every element of the game draws inspiration from this remarkable place, from its environments to the creatures that inhabit its world.
A Small Team, A Big Dream
Developed by Blue Ramen, an independent studio based on Réunion Island, MAFATE was born from our desire to share the beauty and spirit of the Cirque of Mafate with players around the world.
As part of our participation in the Tiny Teams Festival, we're excited to give you a behind-the-scenes look at the development of the game and the work of our small, passionate team.
🌿 Pack your bag, keep your eyes wide open... and set off to explore Mafate.
