New Content: New Weapon - Great Guillotine

The fourth weapon, Great Guillotine, has been added. Imbued with the sacred power of Oguan, the Warden of Fear, Great Guillotine uses its own resource, Scream. Cut down enemies with the Common Attack, “Guillotine Arts,” and the Tactical Attack, “Guillotine Charge,” to collect Scream, then use the Special Attack, “Execution,” to consume all stored Scream at once and slam down in front. The more Scream you consume, the greater the damage and damage range become, so choosing when to unleash Execution is the key to using Great Guillotine well.
The Tactical Attack, “Guillotine Charge,” uses the massive guillotine blade as a shield, charging forward to strike 3 times and destroy most hostile projectiles along the way. The Awaken, “Great Guillotine Unleashed,” resets weapon skill cooldowns and fully restores stamina. During Awaken, damage, critical hit chance, and weapon attack speed are increased.
Type | Skill Name |
|---|---|
Common Attack | Guillotine Arts |
Tactical Attack | Guillotine Charge |
Special Attack | Execution |
Awaken | Great Guillotine Unleashed |
12 Great Guillotine-exclusive Weapon Chimes and 5 Weapon Attunement options have also been added, and can be selected at the Weapon Altar in the Seal Shrine. Unlocking Great Guillotine grants an achievement.
Change: Forced Movement Rework
The way knockback and pull effects are handled has been rebuilt. Previously, forced movement was bundled together with status changes, so targets locked in place by effects such as Stun, Groggy, or Freeze could sometimes remain still even when they should have been pushed back. Forced movement is now separated from status effects, so enemies affected by status effects are pushed back more naturally.
Knockback now also accumulates when enemies are hit multiple times in succession, making multi-hit attacks feel stronger. Trail dust effects now play when enemies are pushed or pulled.
Change: Ultimate Skill Effects Improved
Dedicated camera direction has been added to Awaken ultimates. The camera now closes in on the character during ultimate use, and returns properly even if the sequence is canceled. Ultimate effects for all four weapons, Shaman Blade, Horn Bow, Bladent, and Great Guillotine, have been improved overall. The screen-edge effect shown during Awaken has also been reduced, giving you a wider field of view.
Quality of Life
Category tags are now displayed on Artifacts, weapon skills, and Weapon Chimes. You can check icons to see how an ability works, such as Projectile, Summon, or Bind, and hover over each tag to view its description.
Tooltips now appear when hovering over Artifact and skill icons on the HUD.
Weapon Attunement information can now be checked from the Awaken information screen.
During Artifact reward selection, Artifacts currently sold in the shop now display a guide marker.
The Door to Aksun and Aksun Chest now use long-press interactions, with a progress gauge displayed. This helps prevent accidental entry.
The starting altar has been moved to the entrance of the bridge leading to Aksun. You cannot cross the bridge before selecting an altar.
The dash icon on the HUD has been changed to a stamina display.
The Artifact Engraving tutorial text has been improved.
