These are the patch notes for a small update I pushed a while back, but didn't document, and a bigger patch that adds controller support to Geomancers!
v.0.6.0 in on the beta branch (You can access this by going under Properties > Betas, and entering 'geomancersWinter' as the beta access code), and will remain there for a few days while I make sure everything works nicely.
Features
- Added controller support (should support any major controller, but I can only test on Xbox, personally)
- Added emotes in game!
Bugfixes
- Fixed crash involving turn order when a combatant was defeated, but game did not end (v0.5.1)
- Fixed wizard names not applying to in game wizards (v0.5.1)
- Fixed bug where drawing cards or refreshing the HUD would cause signature spell to refresh
- Fixed Phoenix Dive not displaying Affinity's tooltip instead of Projectile
- Fixed Phoenix Dive actually requiring only 10 Fire cards in deck, instead of 15.
- Fixed Terrain Destroyed postgame stat not updating on non-projectile spells
- Turned off anti-aliasing (in a pixel game.. I swore I turned this one off. The game should look a *lot* better now.)
- Fixed bug where the number of wizards in the level editor wouldn't be updated properly when you loaded a pre-existing level, allowing you to place an additional 5.
Gameplay
- Fireball damage down to 45 from 50 (v0.5.1)
- Lightning Strike damage down to 55 from 65 (v0.5.1)
- Turn order now uses wizard order in the game creation panel, instead of team order
- Wizards going later in the turn order gain mana for each turn they are behind the first wizard (0.5 for each turn, e.g. 3rd player would get 1 bonus mana)
- Call Dragon's summon health down to 50 from 75
- Changed damage fall-off from being far away from the origin of explosions to calculate from the edge of combatants, rather than their centre (this means dragons don't magically take half damage from everything because of how big they are)
Misc.
- Improved the video loading logic on the glossary so its less of a CPU hog
- Moved wizard modifiers to a smaller submenu for controller support and to take up less space
