Hello Pawnbrokers!
Every great venture begins with a small step—or, in this case, with an empty storefront. In this first devlog, we wanna share with you about some of the mechanics we're currently working on. We’ll walk you through the first steps of transforming bare shelves into something truly extraordinary. From unexpected discoveries to tricky decisions, there’s more to building a Pawnshop than meets the eye. Intrigued? Let’s begin.
First, we will need tables. They will serve as stations to present our rich assortment to customers. After all, we don't want our customers tripping over our goods!
Next, we will have to go on a quest for valuable items. You wouldn't believe how many precious things people throw away in the trash! These will find their way onto our store shelves.
What if we happen to find more interesting items that we want to sell, but we’ve run out of display space in our store? It’s better to take them with us and store them in the warehouse so that other treasure hunters don’t snatch our loot right from under our noses. If we come back here after some time, it’s possible someone else will have taken what we left behind.
Now we need to decide which findings we want to sell first.
Finally, we are ready to open our Pawnshop and showcase our rich assortment to buyers.
In the next devlog, we’ll dive into the secrets of sales: how to make the most profit with the least expense!
