Hi everyone!
After nearly two years of development, Reap and Rush has officially landed on Steam today!
What started out as a passion project put together by a few game lovers has, over time and with your support, grown step-by-step into a richer, warmer creation—a complete game with its own unique worldview, characters, and story.
I've always wanted to build a game that players could sink 10+ hours into in one breath, while also making our own little breakthrough in the Action Roguelike / Survivors genre.
Today, this labor of love is finally in your hands.
From start to finish, Reap and Rush has been a heartfelt project made by a small team. We never intended—nor had the capacity—to compete with heavy-hitting AAA titles on the market.
I will be deeply grateful for every copy sold. But more than sales, I genuinely hope this game finds its way into the hands of players who will truly love and enjoy it.
🧐 Is This Game Right for You?
To help clarify expectations and guide the game to the right "master," we’ve put together a quick checklist:
✅ This game is a great fit if you:
Love Action Roguelikes: You enjoy games like Warm Snow or Brotato and thrive on the tension of battling hordes of enemies.
Want stress-relieving, high-octane action: You're looking to carve your way through swarms of monsters and experience the pure satisfaction of clearing whole battlefields.
Are a casual gamer: You want something to help you unwind during 30 to 60 minutes of downtime after a long, busy day.
Enjoy deep build theorycrafting: You love researching builds, testing different playstyles, and experimenting with synergies and stat combinations. Honestly, strategy and build planning carry even more weight in this game than pure mechanical skill.
❌ This game might not be for you if you:
Hate starting over: You dislike the frustration of resetting each run or aren't a fan of rogue-lite mechanics.
Expect AAA visuals and audio: You’re looking for AA or AAA-level graphics and orchestral scores. We’ve pushed ourselves to the limit within our budget and plan to continue adding content through future updates.
Are photosensitive or prone to motion sickness: You're sensitive to frequent flashing light effects, dense bullet hell, or heavy battle particle effects.
Are looking for multiplayer co-op: Underworld Is Busy is currently a purely single-player experience. However, I’m excited about exploring multiplayer options on our development roadmap in the future.

❤️ Thank You for Bringing This Game to Life!
I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to every playtester, community member, and content creator. Thank you to everyone who provided feedback, submitted bug reports, filled out surveys, or simply added us to your Wishlist and supported us quietly behind the scenes.
It is because of you that Underworld Is Busy is what it is today. The valuable feedback and experience you shared helped us polish and refine the game during its final crucial weeks before launch.
✍️ A Small Request from an Indie Developer
If you purchase Underworld Is Busy today, I humbly ask that you take a minute after playing to leave an honest review on Steam.
For an indie game on Steam, the initial reviews and word-of-mouth during launch week literally determine whether a game lives or dies. No matter how short or long, every honest review means the world to me and the future of Underworld Is Busy.
Alright, enough sentimental talk—actions speak louder than words! Head over to the Underworld and start "inspecting the workplace"!
Have fun playing!
