Hello everyone, we are the ZGGAME Development Team.
First of all, thank you to all the Brawlers who have been keeping up with the game's recent developments. Welcome to this issue of our developer notes, where we're excited to share our recent development progress and optimizations.
Future Explorations
New Mode:
The new mode is still under intensive development. For various reasons, it could not be launched this season, but we will do our best to speed up development and hope to let everyone experience it as soon as possible.
New Branch:
To bring more diversity and choice to the meta, we are conceptualizing a new branch. It is currently still in the design phase, and we will, as always, strive to release this new content as soon as we can while ensuring its quality.
Memory Optimization:
Last month, we dedicated significant effort to optimizing memory usage and compatibility issues. After the latest update, some players have reported that crash issues have improved. However, some players with low-spec or specific device models are still reporting crashes and lag. Therefore, we will continue our optimization efforts this month and will keep a close eye on this issue in the future.
New Filter Option for the Gallery:
Since adding the manual lock feature, some players have reported that it takes a long time to find locked items when they want to unlock them. Therefore, we will be adding a filter option that, when clicked, will only display locked content in the Gallery.
Treasure Selection Phase - Non-Public:
Previously, players could not see which heroes their opponents selected during the hero selection phase. After careful consideration, we have decided to apply the same principle to the treasure phase in the future. Choices will no longer be revealed to other players during the selection phase. This change is intended to prevent players who select their treasures earlier from being at a tactical disadvantage.
Community Q&A
Q: I just unlocked a new hero, but why can't I seem to roll them at the start of a match?
A: In each match, the game randomly selects 8 branches to be available for that game. Each hero is tagged with corresponding branches. If your hero's branch tags do not belong to the available branches for that match, they will not appear, no matter how many times you reroll.
Q: Why does the branch targeted by the Treasure Compass sometimes change?
A: When the Seal Pocket Watch locks the branch targeted by the Treasure Compass, the system will randomly change it to another currently learnable branch to ensure the effect can trigger correctly. This is an intended mechanic and not a bug.
Q: When is the iOS version coming?
A: Following the successful expansion of our Google Play Store regions in August, we have officially begun preparations for the iOS App Store launch in September. We will continue to push forward with the release while maintaining our core development schedule.
Q: After using the Seal Pocket Watch to ban a branch, why does the Balance Scale still give EXP for that banned branch?
A: The Seal Pocket Watch's mechanic prevents skills from the banned branch from appearing in the Skill Store. This does not conflict with the function of the Balance Scale, so this is not a bug.
Q: Can you publicly release the win rate statistics for heroes and treasures to give players a reference?
A: It's true that directly releasing this data could spark more community discussion and help players make more targeted choices. However, any meta will always have relatively strong and weak content. Releasing this data would be akin to us providing an official "best answer" for the current version, which could accelerate the solidification of the meta. As developers, this is a direction we do not wish to head in.
