VBR v0.200 - The Next Generation
With version 0.200, we’re propelling VBR into the next phase of its existence. We’ve upgraded our board game software to the latest version of Unity 6, allowing us to take advantage of the new engine’s features. And, of course, all our loyal players out there will benefit as well.
The biggest change related to the engine update is that we’ve moved away from the old Unity networking framework, which we’ve completely replaced with the Mirror library. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank the developers and give them a big shout-out. Here’s an interesting link:

In addition, we have also introduced new special elements such as drawing paper and text labels.
!ATTENTION!
The new version (v0.200 and later) is no longer compatible with older VBR versions. This means that you can no longer join an online session of the newer versions using older versions, and vice versa. But all you hardworking board game creators can breathe a sigh of relief: All games created with the older versions are also compatible with v0.200 and can be loaded there.
Update Overview

General improvements and bug fixes
VBR Player
These key points already show that the good news is far from over. With this version, the crew is introducing the VBR Player to all enthusiastic players. This version of VBR is completely free and available on our website. It allows you to load and play any game created with the VBR Editor. The only feature excluded from this version is the object generation and editing function. Be sure to check out the download page:

Drawing Paper
With the drawing paper feature, all players can draw on a shared surface at the same time, however they like. This even works with a pre-loaded texture. This opens up many new and exciting possibilities for bringing role-playing and board games to life.

Free Games
As a small token of appreciation for loyal fans of the VBR Project, we'll be posting two game highlights in the Game Manager. Be sure to check them out there. Of course, you can also watch them in the VBR Player.
