Hey everyone, Fire here!
I'm the Marketing Lead at Visionary Realms, and I'd like to take this opportunity to talk about the project, what you can expect, and more.
Firstly, if you've been following us, be it for years or a couple weeks, we appreciate you. This has been a long, looooooooooooong time coming. If you're new here, welcome, we sure have a treat for you.
If you haven't yet, check out our recently released trailer for Early Access as it contains a brief overview of classes, races and mechanics we'll be launching with.
Secondly, we'd like to use this post as both an introduction to Pantheon and the world of Terminus as well as answering questions our community has.
This is a game that is slow, it's methodical, it will punish you, if you're looking for instant gratification, this is not the game for you. Terminus is a world of danger, you will need help, and while soloing is certainly possible, that's not the aim of the game. We welcome you to read our core tenets here. As they highlight our philosophy and design choices for this project. As your skills grow, both as a tester and as an adventurer in Terminus, you will find the reward to be great.
Let's talk about Early Access. This is a true early access release, meaning the game is not finished, it's not close to being finished, we're expecting to be in early access for at least 1-2 years.
Our goal during that time is to build this game alongside you, iterate, and create our next forever home.
If you just want to play a character forever, then we recommend waiting for 1.0, as we will have character wipes during EA. We will try to minimize them, but they will happen eventually, either with a new feature that requires testing, or because we ran into an issue that needs us to wipe for the overall health of the game.
Are wipes going to be forever? Of course not, and like we mentioned, we will try our best to introduce content without having to wipe characters. Come 1.0, that issue is gone, no more wipes.
For a full list of early access features, we recommend checking out our website, or have a read at the game's full steam description.
If you'd like to support our team before EA arrives, we are currently running a 2 for 1 promotion on our pledge page, where the watcher pledge gives you and a buddy access to Early Access and 1.0. This is a limited time offer, ending on Dec 1st.
Keen on following the game? Then our linktree is perfect for you, our one-stop-shop for everything Pantheon.
What comes after EA begins? That's simple, we will:
-Fix any critical bugs/glitches and smooth out the experience
-Slowly introduce new gameplay systems overtime
-Announce future updates with a quarterly roadmap
-Keep refining graphical fidelity and FX
-Start paving the way to 1.0 launch (which again, will take a couple years)
Any other questions, please feel free to reach out or join our ever-growing discord!
Onward and upwards.
Fire out.
