Greetings from Hyper Empire!
It’s hard to believe that it’s only been a week since the launch of Hyper Empire! As a small two-man studio, this game means a lot to us and seeing people embrace the game over the last week has been amazing.
This is a passion project that we have been working on for the last 5 years, and we’ve spent the better part of the last year just focusing on polishing the game to give you the best experience possible. We hope you can feel our love for this game. No matter how much work is done to prepare for launch nothing is quite like the experience of being available to a wide audience.
It is part of the process of making a game that there will always be players who find fault and want something different. To those players we want to say "We hear you, we take your feedback seriously, and we are trying our best."
We did not anticipate there would be a demand for saving given the brevity of the game. This was our mistake and we are sorry for the oversight. In many ways this game is made by parents for parents. We recognize that a new crisis can erupt at any moment to interrupt your gaming. We are proud to announce that with this patch we have been able to add a simple Save and Continue feature.
The saving was put together through some very long nights, and to get it to you right away we were not able to thoroughly test every combination. If you do find any bugs with the new save system please let us know in the Discussion Forum.
We are very grateful for each and every one of you that has played the game. We have been working tirelessly to address all of your concerns big and small. Keep the feedback coming.
We are still working on adding the ability to adjust your win conditions. This existed in the game through the achievements, but we recognize this was not obvious enough and needs to be available to players sooner. We both need to get some sleep and attend to our families, but this is our top priority for the next patch. We will have a more intuitive and unified solution for this by the end of the month.
Still here? Well download the update and get back to conquering the galaxy, and thank you again for an amazing first week!
