Due to a player finding out that Starspangled literally broke the game (as in almost making it crash), I realized both him knockback were so comically overpowered (and causing huge performance issues) that it was just removing the fun from the game, since the player could essentially stand there and kill everything without being touched once. There are several nerfs in this patch, which obviously will be subjected to change but for now make the game more balanced. There are also other changes
Knockback now only affects enemies within 3 meters of the player.
Knockback can now only be inflicted by the player, not by anything that counts as a Turret.
Knockback is now capped at 80%.
Knockback has less of an effect on elite and boss enemies, the same as with damaging status effects (the higher the enemy’s rank, the less it will be affected).
Starspangled now only gains 3% to basic damage types, rather than AOE, Melee and Explosive. He was able to stack insane amounts of damage on AOE + Explosive weapons, basically for doing nothing.
Starspangled now has a permanent lock on his AOE / Melee size at -25%, making him more reliant on projectile weapons to knock enemies back.
Starspangled’s Rivals and Checkers are now extremely powerful compared to other characters, making knocking them back essential to completing a run.Other changes:
Projectile Speed, Projectile Range, Projectile Size, AOE Size, Melee Size, have all been capped at 200%.
Maxed out stats that have caps will now show when they are maxed on your Stats display.
Yellow Card ‘Missed Leg Day’ now has a more extreme penalty, reducing your Health Recovery by 2.5% of your new Max HP.
’Mini Machine’ now drops turrets with 20% of the main turrets’ HP, down from 50%.
’Fresh Parts’ now has a 50% chance of giving +1 Turret Damage when picking up a material, rather than just +1 all the time.
Magnet Demons now have higher health that scales off of your performance and pull your stuff quicker based on difficulty.
Miasmis Demons now have higher health that scales off of your performance.
Barrels from ‘Burner Phone’ now have a larger explosion to make them more punishing, and also have a sound when they explode now.
’Burner Phone’ now has had its price raised to $1200, up from $800.
