That is it. We pressed the long-awaited "Release App" button.
After two years of development Lootbound is finally out.
It feels a little strange to write these words today because not long ago we were discussing the first concepts, redesigning characters, arguing about balance and changing things ten times over that already seemed finished.
And now you can play it!
Lootbound is available now on Steam.
To celebrate the release, the game is 35% off for the first two weeks.

ROADMAP
Release does not mean the end of development for us. Quite the opposite, this is the start of the next stage for Lootbound. We already have several post-release updates in development and we will keep growing the game together with you.
We want to keep making Lootbound bigger, more varied and better. And yes, there is still a lot more ahead.

WHAT IS LOOTBOUND
Lootbound started its journey almost two years ago.
During that time the game changed countless times. Mechanics changed. Balance was reworked. Characters, enemies and items were redrawn. Some systems were completely thrown out and rebuilt from scratch when we realized we could make them better.
The visuals are a story of their own.
All of Lootbound's pixel art was created by our artists from scratch specifically for the game. Characters, animations, environments, weapons, items, effects and interface elements. All of it went through sketches, redesigns and a huge number of small changes you may never even notice.
But we noticed them :)
Sometimes one tiny element was reworked again and again until it finally felt right.
The same thing happened with the gameplay.
Lootbound is a roguelite where every run comes together differently. You choose your route, fight enemies, collect loot, experiment with upgrades and gradually build your setup. We really wanted to make a game where winning is not the only fun part, experimenting matters too. Here is what Lootbound looked like exactly one year ago...)
Try a different route. Change your build in the middle of a run. Take a risk for a more valuable reward.
And every time think:
"Alright, one more run."
