Ok once again we have a small insignificant update, but a few more people than usual joined the discord and that made me want to work on the game a bit more.
Anyway here's what changed:
** Version changes
Instead of having versions like 1.0, 1.0.1 etc we will now be doing 26.6 and so on. the first number represents the year, the second the month, and then the third will just increment every update. so if I do another update this month then it would be 26.6.1 and then 26.6.2. Once july comes around, an update number would look like 26.7.X.
** Optimization
A big problem I've had to deal with is the amount of bats where we want a lot later in the game so the player is still having to deal with them but not a bunch that are bunched up wasting resources, not being killed.
So my solution to this was to destroy off screen bats every 15 seconds if there is more than 200 bats currently loaded. This should hopefully help reduce the lag later in the game
