I wasn't quite satisfied with how I left the game, and I got bored enough with everything going on in my life that I decided to make this game a little better!
I've made lots of small changes, along with a very big change with this update.
To get it out of the way, you can now save all mid-level progress! This makes it very helpful when you're in the middle of a longer level and you need to put the game down. You can only have one level saved at a time, so you will be asked if you want to overwrite another level save when necessary.
Here's all the smaller changes that come with the update:
- Enemy follow/attack range is now visible. This can be toggled in settings
- Slightly adjusted pressure plate locations in the beginning levels
- Slightly increased the collider on the pressure plates
- Enemies initially speed up when they start moving rather than starting at an immediate pace. Also increased the delay when slimes start chasing you
- Added small hints in the first four levels that pop up for a few seconds after you die a couple times
- When a lever moves a bridge that is not directly next to the lever, the bridge lights up to help locate the target
- The Warden's attack animation can now be interrupted when leaving a follow/attack range. This is to closer resemble the other enemy behavior
- Optimization
I've also updated and released the demo to reflect the fully updated game, allowing access to the first five levels.
Enjoy!
