The Boon rewire update was meant to address a problem with flatpack in Linux that was "incompatible" with the game appimage. So, while that is fixed I decided to publish the new game modes as well !
Now from the options menu you can select from "classic" and "runner" mode.
The classic, or normal mode, is now the new default for the game and the "runner" mode is for those that want to push themself to the limits.. of speed!
The classic mode plays as you expect from an rpg: explore, understand what to do, fight, progress in the story.
The runner mode instead adds a time limit for any map, the timer is always shown onscreen, so you can check out how you are faring, and in some levels the mechanics are different to give satisfaction to your speed bursts!
In addition The Welcoming Hall and The Merchant's Lobby have been reworked adding a new mechanic !
And that's all for the Boon rewire Update!
Good run!
