Greetings, bushcrafters!
The (demo) game has undergone some fundamental changes, and I’m excited to finally share them with you. Updates can be found below.
Development of the full game is progressing well, though there’s still plenty ahead: implementing the travois, adding Winter and Spring seasons, refining spawn mechanics throughout the year, building the map system, balancing gameplay across difficulty levels, generating the rest of the world, designing the end game, possibly adding Steam achievements, and overall polish to gameplay.

New Features:
- Shelter can now be set on a non-flat terrain - Totally flat area requirement has been removed from shelter placement. - There are still restrictions for terrain type and slope limit. So you might need to dig/raise one or two corners.
- Cave system - Caves are dark, cold environments where players can discover valuable raw materials. - A torch is highly recommended for exploration, as navigating without light is difficult. - Loot items won’t be highlighted in a cave. - One cave can be also found in the Demo game area.
- Versatile torches - With the introduction of caves, torches needed to become more versatile. Players can now light torches directly with a fire starter and chain the flame from one torch to another. - When igniting a torch using a fire starter, no additional tinder is required. Torches now have “built-in tinder,” determined by the tinder used during their crafting. - Standard fire restrictions still apply, such as wind and rain.
- Stones mechanism update - Gray stone has been renamed to Chert. Chert will be the most common stone, which can be used as earlier. Chert stone durability has been decreased. - Red stone has been renamed to Granite. - Some changes have been implemented to stone related crafting recipes.
