As mentioned in our last devlog, we’re going to be doing 2 every month to update on our 2 games, Asphodelium and Crimson Waves on the Emerald Sea: Amaranthine Moon. Now that it’s the end of the month, we’re taking a look at the progress on CWES: Amaranthine Moon.
It’s hard to believe January has already passed! We’ve had a lot of progress on the project the past few weeks, so let’s take a look at it.
First off, we have a preview of Ambrose’s updated sprite artwork by Dule! The sprite is almost done and will be part of our next demo update. We also hope to have Nemo’s updated sprite soon.
We’re also doing some updates to the GUI to make it a more cohesive experience, such as adding golden embellishments to the cut-ins.
As you can see, we’re also making progress on scripting in the next parts of the game, as day 3 is fully written and being programmed. The script has passed 40k words and is coming along well.
We were hoping to release CWES: Amaranthine Moon in Q1 2025, but we’re going to keep working on it for a few more months to give it the time it needs, as the story has expanded to fully flesh out the love interests.
We also have some brand new extra art, such as Lucie (illustrated by me)…
…and a new key visual artwork, illustrated by noa000!
If you haven’t already, wishlist it on Steam, as every wishlist helps us out!

As a last announcement… We’ll be holding a small Kickstarter for the game later this year! There will be a few rewards such as keychains, stickers, physical copies of the game, and more. You can follow the Kickstarter page to see when it goes live!
p.s. we’ll be hosting the first ever otome-themed Steam festival in May to coincide with the annual Otome Game Jam, so stay tuned for that!
