Hello everyone, welcome to the Our Home update status!
In this post, we want to share what you can expect from the next Steam update and give you a glimpse into our process. As outlined in the Early Access details, our updates roll out quarterly. This approach lets us plan the scope of each release and the playtime you’ll enjoy.
Based on our development capacity, we produce around 400 renders per month, translating to about 30 minutes of gameplay or reading. Over a quarter, that’s roughly 1200 renders and 1h30 of new content. Our Home has a special trait: we believe every character’s expression and line matters for deeper immersion. That’s why we craft about 1 renders per dialogue. Not everyone might notice this while playing, but it’s something we take pride in delivering for you.
What’s Ready So Far
As of now, here’s what we’ve accomplished: since February 26, we’ve created around 490 renders, 3 animations, and about 35 minutes of gameplay. This version spans two distinct moments: the start of a temp job at Aquila with Norah’s schedule, featuring some intense scenes, and a college interview with Alexandra, plus a short segment of Samantha’s investigation. These are the highlights of this update, and below, you’ll find preview images of what’s coming.
We know many of you are eager for the next update and might wonder, “Why not release it already?” We get that excitement! Our focus is on keeping Our Home sustainable long-term, delivering meaningful, polished content each quarter. This strategy ensures more playtime and a richer experience with every release something we think you’ll love.
We’re thrilled about what’s ahead and keeping a close eye on everything you share with us. The next status report will bring even more news, and we’re counting on you to join us on this ride!
