Welcome, everyone! We're just hours away from launching Our Home on Steam in Early Access, and we can’t wait to share this journey with you! First and foremost, a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way—your energy has brought us to this moment. Now, let’s get to the good part: what you can expect from this release!
A Growing Experience: From Wishlist to Early Access
Since we announced our Wishlist, we have been working hard to expand and refine the experience, adding more depth to the story, visuals, and gameplay.
Where We Started
At the time of the Wishlist announcement, Our Home already had:
🖼️ 5,700 high-quality images
🎬 52 animations, enriching the visual experience
💬 5,403 dialogue blocks, forming a deep narrative with 61,931 words
📖 An estimated 5-hour read time, offering a significant immersion in the initial story
But we didn’t stop there!
What We Added
With continuous development, we expanded the game time by more than 90 minutes, introducing new content focused on the main story. These improvements dive deeper into the mysteries of Norah’s past and present, while Samantha’s investigations uncover hidden connections—with our hero at the center of it all.
🔥 1,700+ brand-new renders, crafted to bring emotional and detailed scenes to life
🔍 Secret renders for those who love to explore every hidden detail
This massive expansion set the stage for our biggest update yet—the complete rework of the prologue!
A Prologue Designed for Immersion
This launch includes a special prologue rework, built from the ground up over the past 12 months. We've rewritten scenes, refined the narrative, and enhanced the visuals to create a rich and engaging experience right from the start.
Here’s what we’ve achieved:
✅ Renders: Increased from ~600 to over 1,400
✅ Dialogues: Expanded from ~100 to over 1,300
✅ Word Count: From ~1,000 to over 24,000
✅ Average Playtime: From 20 minutes to over 1.5 hours
Our goal is simple: to deliver a compelling story with characters you'll want to connect with. The prologue rework introduces the MC and their world—from their bonds with Amelia and Jonathan to MC ’s deep love for Emily—all with more detail and emotion.
Behind the Creation
When I first envisioned Our Home, I wanted a strong narrative, with a clear path and a memorable ending. Become a writer and choosing 3D and storytelling was a massive challenge—I lacked both the resources and experience at the beginning.
But over time, with incredible support from my wife, we turned this vision into reality. This prologue rework is the result of months of learning and dedication, and we’re proud to present it as the starting point of our journey on Steam.
What to Expect in the Prologue?
👤 Amelia – Deeper connections with the other characters and the impact of the MC’s departure from the orphanage.
🤝 Jonathan & MC – A friendship brought to life, setting the stage for what's to come.
❤️ MC & Emily – A love explored through special scenes, showing why she means so much.
🌎 Others – Samantha, Hank, Juliana, Matilda, and more—all introduced naturally, with distinct personalities.
As soon as you start Our Home, you’ll dive straight into the prologue—the perfect introduction for new players like you.
