All hands on deck for June's content update! This month is all about putting a variety of handy tools, weapons, and upgrades at your disposal, along with a host of fixes and changes! Let's hop to it!
Content
Five new handy items have been added to the game, each with their own unique strengths and weaknesses! Let's go over each of them, shall we?...
The Phonograph! - This bulky fella will let you expose your crew mates to the joys and wonders of classical music! Your whole team will appreciate your supportive tunes backing the score to them fending for their lives!
The Dynamite! - These explosive, water-resistant wicks of destruction are now at your disposal! Toss and clear out whole groups of enemies in a single blow, or destroy massive armored crabs and clams with but a few well-placed sticks. WARNING: VERY DANGEROUS. USE WITH CAUTION.
The Monkey Wrench! - While its repair speed and damage are average, this monkey wrench lives up to its namesake and makes quite the acrobat out of its wielder! Leap higher and run faster with the agile Monkey Wrench!
The Tesla Gun! - Invented by the famous inventor Nikola himself, the Tesla Gun packs an electric charge that can really deal some damage. Charge up and release powerful clusters of electric energy at your foes!
The Syringe! - This medical marvel allows you to really Doctor it up and perform healing blood transfusions on teammates! Its sharp needle even allows it to be a versatile weapon! WARNING: 5% OF PATIENTS MAY EXPERIENCE SOME DISCOMFORT.
A Mystery Weapon! - In addition to the five new items above, a stranger item also lurks beneath the depths of The Living Infinite, waiting for its mysterious power to be unlocked by those willing to dig deep enough to find the key to its release...
New Submarine Upgrades! - Two new upgrades for your vessel can now be discovered in Crates! Bullet Fire Rate and EMP Damage Upgrades are here!
Smart Caves! - Caves have received an intelligence overhaul, and will now spawn items, barrels, treasure and upgrades based on the needs (or lack thereof) of your crew! Crews in dire need of supplies are more likely to get what they need to get back on their feet, and crews who are doing well have a higher chance of finding treasure!
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a problem where subHealth updates coming in from SubStats were throwing cheat checker into cheating detected mode.
- Aiming visuals should now work over the network.
- Mini-bosses now spawn at correct sizes.
- Fixed a null reference in cave spines.
Balance
- Submarine Upgrades now have limited spawn rates.
- Adjusted EMP's effects on AIDM rest time numbers. It still tells the AIDM that engines off doesn't count for spawn prevention, but it no longer divides the time in combat numbers so hard.
- Caves are no longer as random! Now you should be set to get 3 caves per level, with the exception of a few extra random factors.
- Gold values adjusted on med/small piles to be slightly less valuable.
Other
- Monthly Leaderboards have been reset.
- Added new biome-specific placeholder bosses for the shallow biomes(!)
- The Rose now has a secondary use other than looking just lovely!
- Visual flair/Particle effects given to a variety of items.
- Skeletal Abomination enemies given new sound effects.
- Item switching now has a sound effect.
- Original Wrench has been given a visual makeover with a new sprite!
Player of the Month
June's Player of the Month is... Kimi Kitte!
Kimi Kitte has been an enormous and pivotal help to us devs in crushing some seriously difficult bugs! To date, she has sent us NINETEEN log files along with commentary to describe the events of play sessions. Many times she has sent us the log files of the same game from both a host and a client perspective (this is crazy useful for tracking down networking problems).
Thanks to her painstaking documentation efforts, we have managed to solve at least five outlandishly devious, sneaky, frustrating bugs. We say at least five because we actually have 6 more logs to get through to catch up... COUGH... well we can't all be as thorough as Kimi Kitte!
In addition to being an incredible volunteer troubleshooter, Kimi Kitte also streams our game regularly, for fun and to help spread the word! Once again, thanks Kimi Kitte! You earned the crap outta this one!
As usual, our Player of the Month Kimi Kitte will be sent 4 copies of WNTGD as a reward for her efforts.

Thanks again everyone for all the feedback, kind words, and support you've been sending our way! Let us know what you think of the new update as usual! Happy diving! :)
