Dev Log #1
Dev logs will be used to give insight to upcoming features to Fame & re-works. Fame is set to go through a few quality-of-life changes & I will go over the topics such as:
- Art Overhaul
- Snaps Feature
- New Game Plus
Art Overhaul
The artwork in the game mainly of characters will be completely redrawn to match other visual novel styles. However, the old art style will still remain as a setting to change between the old & new character sprites. This decision is nothing new, originally the game was suppsoed to contain 2 art styles that could be toggled but was eventually scrapped. The new art style is already in the works & should make the game match other visual novel styles, currently this art overhaul may not make it to the game until later on.
Snaps Feature
The snaps feature serves as the "Gallery" feature usually present in visual novels. The snaps button will be alongside the interface buttons (Auto, Menu, Quick Save & Skip) upon pressing the Snaps button, an icon will be displayed showing a snap has been done. Snaps will save the current scene you're on & stores it in a list of snaps (6 Snaps Max). You can access your snaps from the main menu, when replaying a snap it will put the game into "Snaps Mode" this will allow you to play from the point the snap was taken without affecting your normal save files.
When in Snaps Mode the game will not auto save & quick save is disabled to avoid conflicts with your saves. You can clear your snaps at any time & make more if you run out of snap slots. The snaps feature currently only supports 6 slots but may soon support up to 12 slots. The feature is complete & will release with the next patch update.
New Game Plus
The New Game Plus feature should have been in the game at the start but complications were found. A new approach to this feature is being tested & will allow players to have 3 different save files. This feature may not come in the next patch alongside the Snaps, or it might.
Notes From Dev
More information about the next patch will be shared in Dev Log #2. Also, you may have noticed a price change with Fame. Fames price will remain at what it is at the moment & will not be changing. If you purchased at its original price I apologize for the sudden change in price. I was unsure of what the price should have been at the time but after talking with others I came to the conclusion to lower it to a more appropriate price.
A new sub studio of Tropical Games, "Palm Tree Games" will be joining alongside Fames Devlopment & future games developments with some other projects lead by Palm Tree.
Thank you!
