First of all, we’d like to thank all scions for your kind words, feedback and many hours played!
We’ve had an eventful time since our release into Early Access with about a dozen patches shipped and great community engagement on our Discord and the Steam forums. We’ve been focusing a lot on bug fixes and balance tweaks based on community feedback, but we’ve already started sneaking new content in, something there will be more of further down in the roadmap. Some big highlights since release is a new simple save system, so you don’t have to finish a run in one go, and a new (highly requested) weapon to unlock!
| Magnolia’s Thorn and Petal! It’s a sword and board archetype that lets you be much more proficient at blocking and playing defensively. While focused on a defensive playstyle the offensive power is not to be underestimated with multiple tools and upgrades in its arsenal to wreak havoc on your enemies. We look forward to seeing what builds you can come up with for this new weapon! |
Roadmap
Now on to the exciting part which we know a lot of you are looking forward to, the roadmap to 1.0.
Short term focus will be to iron out any game breaking bugs and performance issues while tuning large game balance discrepancies. Simultaneously we will be finishing up and adding some content that we had to cut for the early access launch.
After summer we’ll go into normal production mode again. We have many more weapons planned, on top of many more upgrades, blessings etc. We’re also doing continuous work on balancing and particularly the game feel - enemy timings, tracking and general difficulty will be in constant change until we find the sweet spot.
Long term plan is also to add a third domain, which includes 4 levels, 4 bosses, a new damage type and a brand new god which altogether will unlock a ton of new exciting builds for players to explore. We can’t wait to share more details on all of this, and we will in due time.
We'll share a rough timeline after summer.
Until then, wreck some bosses with your friends and don't forget to water your plants! (even if they are cacti)
