Hey everyone! We’ve got a pretty big update coming to Chop Chop: Together, and we wanted to share the thought process behind it with you all.
Up until now, everyone started their journey with Fishing, gradually unlocking Warehouse Management and Blacksmithing as they played. It was our original take on progression, but after watching how you play and listening to your feedback, we realized something important: locking content behind progression was actually getting in the way of the immediate fun.
So, we’re changing it up. With our upcoming update, all three professions will be unlocked right from the start!
Whether you want to dive straight into chaotic seas (Fishing), try to keep order while everything crumbles around you (Warehouse Management), or face the heat of the forge (Blacksmithing), the choice is completely yours from minute one.
At its core, Chop Chop: Together is all about fast-paced multiplayer chaos and having a blast with your friends. We realized that locking two-thirds of the gameplay meant some player groups weren't getting to experience the parts of the game they were most excited about right away.
By opening everything up from the beginning, you get to:
Jump straight into the job that looks most fun to you
Mix and match roles with different friend groups without grinding first
Switch up the gameplay dynamic whenever you feel like a change of pace
Our goal has always been to give you the freest, most enjoyable co-op experience possible, and we’re really excited to see how this changes your play sessions.
As always, a huge thank you for playing, sharing your thoughts, and helping us shape the game into something better every day. We couldn't do this without you.
See you on the job... and please, try to keep the workplace intact! 👷💥
