Patch 0.3.27
General
- Added a locked version of the shop to choose level screen
- Added Steam icon for wishlisting on main page and in-game menu
- Changed build type text to "TD Fest '24 Demo"
- Game version updated from 3.1 to 3.2. This soft-resets leaderboards (the data isn't lost, there are just new new leaderboards for 3.2)
- Build v0.3.X / Game v3.2 is for the tower defense fest demo build July 29th (Monday). I will still be updating build v0.3.27 to v0.3.X whatever for bug fixes, but Game version will remain at 3.2.
- Fixed Lane 1 and 2 spawning issues on Winter preview stage (was an oversight on my part)
- Fixed Boss spawning behavior on Winter preview stages
- Updated playerprogression, maxscores, scores file naming so game version specific data can be saved and loaded properly.
Gameplay
- Added a bunch of new towers, but none have been hooked up just yet
- Force is applied to any enemy, regardless if they have armor or are heavy or not. This means that force based attacks that were once not very powerful (like Blaster Master) are now useful again. Might be really overpowered.
- Updated icon for speed (from Queen castle)
- Updated icon for eagle eyes & high ground
- When enemies leak, their distance traveled will reset to 0, so for the purposes of targeting 'furthest' enemy they will no longer be prioritized over anything that hasn't leaked.
- Enemy regeneration should properly halt when the game is paused or if the game is over (level failed)
- Fire does 3x tick damage to Enemy Ice Shields, up from 2x. This is a preemptive buff due to how powerful and prevalent Quickdraw will be with 1 cost instead of 2. The interactions here might not be as balanced as it could be though.
- Eagle Eyes (and any support tower with a ‘fake’ attack) will not scale up and ‘pop’ to attack. These types of towers will rotate when it spots an enemy though.
Tower Balance
Quickdraw
- Cost reduced from 2 to 1.
- Damage per attack reduced from 5 to 3
- Number of shots remains the same
- Overall damage burst reduced from 15 to 9, but cost was reduced by 50%
Blaster Master
- Doubled the force of its attacks (displacement)
- Increased base range from 6 to 10
- Increased base damage from 15 to 25
- Increased the size of its projectile (and matching collider) to be 200% larger. This is a temp measure to make it 'larger' without messing with rectangular shaped colliders
- Still costs 3
Pyro
- Now deals Fire damage upon impact, instead of normal damage
