Good day to you, Survivalists!
If you read our last devlog carefully, you surely already know what to expect. And if this is your first experience with Custom Mode Update, then well, we have some really interesting information for you! The Patch has just hit Steam and Meta Quest Store and is now ready to try out. Making a long story short, the most significant novelties are:
custom mode granting you more control over the world around you and your playstyle,
more atmosphere to the world in form of Northern Lights / Aurora
new structure - Trash Can
overall quality of life improvements and bugfixes
But let the new Update Teaser speak for itself
Frost Survival VR is more immersive than ever
• From now on, each of your next adventures in Forst Survival VR can be a completely different, exciting experience. Manipulate variables such as temperature and sanity systems, player needs, friendly fire, fuel consumption and more to tailor the gameplay to your likings.
• A new Trash Can structure has been added to improve base management. It allows you to get rid of unwanted items, keeping your base free from excess skins, damaged tools, and other unnecessary clutter.
• The number of save slots has been expanded from 3 to 6, making it easier to try different playthroughs, difficulties, and Custom Mode configurations.
• One of the most noticeable additions is a new night variant featuring northern lights. It adds visual variety to nighttime and brings a fresh atmosphere to nighttime exploration.
• The patch also addresses several smaller bugs and technical issues to improve stability and performance. While less visible, these fixes help ensure smoother gameplay, particularly in longer runs and heavily built worlds.
