Hey Rangers!
Got an important announcement for y'all...
You heard it here folks!
Chapter 2: Lonely Ruins is officially now in development!
I'm so glad y'all enjoyed Chapter 1, and I'm ESPECIALLY excited for you guys to experience Chapter 2! If you thought Chapter 1 was scary, things are only gonna get worse from here on out...
Now! Regarding what I was wanting to implement into Chapter 1 prior to Chapter 2's release, all of the major stuff is being delayed until Chapter 2's release.
BUT in the meantime, I feel that Chapter 1 is now in a fairly decent place thanks to this new update!
Here are the patch notes for those interested:
Systematic
- Main menu UI has been improved, and is now less cluttered.
- Save file system has been revamped massively.
- Added an FPS cap to the Display settings.
- Added an FPS counter toggle to the Display settings.
Miscellaneous
- Fixed the loading screen not displaying correctly when starting a new save after playing in another save file.
- Changed font for most text to make it more readable, and visually better at different resolutions.
- Did some minor adjustments to the Skytram Entrance checkpoint (after putting the battery in).
- Chapter Select now doesn't affect save files, will require you to play through each chapter in a main save file before unlocking them in Chapter Select (with the exception of Chapter 1).
- Getting out of a hiding spot whilst crouched or running will set the correct player speed.
- The save system now saves the amount of time you've spent in your selected save file!
- Improved the Sky Tram Entrance trigger for the battery collection sequence.
- Adjusted some textures, certain areas should look a bit better now.
I know it's not the biggest update, but it does improve some important stuff that will improve the general player experience! and until next time!!
Thank you!
