Delectabus has heard the YUMs of the people
Almost the day Mage Food Truck launched, an idea struck me and I knew exactly what the first update should be. The God of Food Trucks has noticed your culinary flair, and is ready to take your highscores to new heights!
Earning at least one star on both of the entrées is enough to unlock this new feature. At the start of every entrée run, three crystal food items called Delectables will spawn around the map. Collecting these increases the value of your recipes and forms the Divine Combo, a sacred offering to Delectabus, the God of Food Trucks.
Delectaboons you can purchase range from an extra Wildcard, to purging all penalty cards from your collection, to increasing the size of your hands! Of cards. Your anatomical hands remain the same size.
Try It Early!
If you own a copy of MFT, you can try the update beta today! Read the details below before you jump in. To install: just right click Mage Food Truck in your Steam library, then go to properties, then Beta and look for 'unpolishedplaytest'. It’s not password protected, and you can switch back to the release version the same way.
Stuff testers should know:
Going back to the main branch seems to work fine, but save-wise it’s safer to stay on this beta branch until the public version is out.
The new content is ready to play and (hopefully) bug free, it just lacks the release version polish.
Highscores in the beta builds will not be pushed to the Steam Leaderboards, but will be saved locally on your machine. Only scores achieved on the public builds count for leaderboards.
Autosaves for incomplete games will not port between testing and public branches.
