Thank you for playing Short Adventure!
This is version 2.4. When you reach the main menu of the game, ensure that version 2.4 is listed at the bottom of the screen.
The update pushes the game file size to 6GB. Ensure you have the allotted space to update the game.
Here's what to expect in this update!
Chapter 9!
Follow Isabella as she takes her team around Iysta, Aldoria, and Talmar, to unravel the mysteries and secrets of the Royal Families in Iysta and Aldoria as it pertains to the strange beast that she and her group encountered in the woods! Whose side is she on? Who can she trust? Does it really pay off to be loyal? What is she willing to do to accomplish her objective? All these, and more, will be answered!
Princess Melrose, Shara, and Escarlata are still chatting in an Alhest hotel in Tashir when an emergency strikes Trinity via breaking news on TV! Melrose is shaken to the core as she leads the group back to her home to prevent a possible disaster! Will she and the others make it in time? Or will there be a serious tragedy in the making?
A returning character and a brand new character will take the stage and travel to three different countries as they put aside their differences to work together to achieve their objective. Just how well will they get along? Who else will they meet along the way? What has changed around the realm during their travels?
New areas!
While I will not spoil there here, there are new areas for you to explore in this update! You will encounter them along your journey through the story!
Balancing!
There have been more adjustments to a few characters regarding their moves and abilities to make them more consistent when in battle.
Certain boss behaviors have been changed to relax the difficulty based on feedback.
A few bosses have had a minor nerf in their stats to ease the difficulty for casual players and to prevent a near endless battle situation in extreme cases.
Bug Fixes!
As always, I strive to put the best game out there and have cleaned up several issues that I have found or were reported to me. I thank you all that have reached out to me and let me know when you found something. Please continue to do!
Quality of life!
You will notice at game start up that there is a new splash screen! This is to help provide a short summary of information and notes about the updates that were made. This can be skipped with the press of a button.
Certain battle animations were changed and/or adjusted for a smoother battle experience.
Future update!
I have a few things planned:
I will be adjusting Risa to make her less complicated to use.
I will be adjusting Jessie to have her preform a bit smoother in battle.
The next update I am planning to make it very large and get closer to the end of the story. With that said, the next update will have you able to obtain the entire party as well as begin optional sidequests as you prepare for the end of the game and the point of no return.
This will probably happen towards the end of the summer, but I will work to get it out sooner.
I am also working on adjusting the UI for the game. I have done testing in the background, and came up with something nice, but...it breaks the game and makes it unplayable. Another UI I came up with created other issues that are not acceptable:
- character losing HP when attacking despite it being a normal attack and not under a special effect.
- players unable to input commands for characters while other characters/enemies are preforming their actions
I will continue to work on this to make Short Adventure even better.
