Dear players,
First and foremost, we sincerely apologize to everyone who bought and played *MushDash*.
You supported our game with trust and excitement—but the launch version was filled with serious bugs that ruined the experience, and in some cases even prevented players from starting or playing properly. This is not the game we wanted to deliver, and we deeply regret falling so short of your expectations.
*MushDash* was built by a tiny team of just two or three part-time developers. During development, we went through multiple major overhauls of the game framework and networking system. Combined with extremely limited testing resources and experience, we simply couldn’t catch all the issues before release. The scale and severity of these bugs far exceeded what we anticipated—and they’ve clearly exposed our shortcomings in both technical execution and project management.
We’re now urgently investigating and fixing the following confirmed issues (some already identified, others still under analysis):
1. Players get stuck on the loading screen and can’t enter the game
2. Character models jitter violently, disrupting camera and controls
3. Model/state corruption after being caught or rescued
4. Players can open the camera (and even shoot!) while captured—this should not be possible
5. Keybinding conflicts or unresponsive inputs (note: some can be temporarily mitigated via custom key settings)
6. Unable to switch inventory after using a weapon
7. Game freezes when right-clicking the camera and then switching inventory slots
8. Captured players cannot die (logic error)
9. Sprinting and jumping completely non-functional
10. Character selection screen shows one player occupying two slots, blocking progression (likely a network sync issue)
11. Room persists after host disconnects, but no one can start the game
12. Room names fail to display
13. Killer and survivor notifications appear simultaneously (mechanic conflict—under verification)
14. Character select screen shows dual-camera “hotseat-like” view and other UI glitches
15. Extreme pixelation/mosaic visuals on 16:10 resolutions
16. Game crashes and restarts automatically after character select countdown ends (under unknown conditions)
17. Repeatedly clicking “Confirm” on character select may trigger:
`Fatal error! Unhandled Exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION reading address 0x0000000000000258`
18. Fullscreen gameplay on resolutions above 1080p causes display issues when alt-tabbing
19. Blurry, unreadable visuals at 1440p (2K) resolution
We fully understand these issues have not only ruined the fun but also damaged your trust in us. As a small indie team with no big budget or large staff, we may lack resources—but we do **not** lack responsibility or determination.
From now on, we’re pausing all new feature development and focusing **100% on bug fixes**. We’ll keep you updated regularly via patch notes, community posts, and our QQ group.
Fixing everything will take time—but we promise: **every report matters, and we’ll do our best to resolve every single bug.**
Once again, thank you for your patience, and we’re truly sorry for the frustration. If you’re willing to give us another chance, we’ll prove through action that your support won’t go to waste.
Thank you for reading this far.
Let’s work together to make *MushDash* the game it was meant to be.
— The MushDash Development Team
