¡Hello everyone!
Welcome to our first Devblog here on Steam, where we will do a short review of some important events related to La Salamanca that happened during this time, and extra information about the future of the project.
¡The Demo is out on Steam!
After several months in development, here at Carpincho Studio we prepared a playable Demo of the prologue of “La Salamanca”, and it lasts approximately 20-25 minutes. In this demo, you'll find a VHS tape that one of your friends left for you, seeing everything from his perspective.

The Demo includes 4 achievements, 3 of them being hidden (because they are related to the story), and the only visible one being the Golden Carpinchos, small collectibles that can be find them distributed throughout the level, If you find them all you will obtain the achievement!
Remember that the Demo does not represent the final product, and it is very likely that several things will tend to be different or change completely.
Memories of past... and future events
The Demo that is public on Steam right now is the updated version of the one we originally published on Itch.io. One of the most notable differences is that this Demo had a time limit, something that was removed for later versions, and that will only be used in versions for events.
On May 5th, this demo was presented live at the "Star Wars Rosario Fan Club Celebration" (Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina), a charity event that, despite being Star Wars-themed, we were given the opportunity to show the demo of the game in our humble Stand to hundreds or even thousands of people. People of all ages had the chance to play the demo at the booth, with a really positive reception!

We want to wholeheartedly thank the people of Star Wars Rosario Fan Club Celebration and the party hall "La Opera” for giving us this incredible opportunity, it was an unforgettable experience !
Thanks to people's feedback, we thought about improvements for the game and the Demo and the stand itself, with the possibility of being present at other conventions or local events... Like the well-known "Crack Bang Boom"[/ b] from Rosario!

Those who are from Rosario, know that we will be present at the event with our Stand from Thursday the 15th to Sunday the 18th, with the possibility of playing the Demo live, chatting with the Devs and even who knows... getting exclusive merchandising!
Improved Systems - Player Movement and Inventory
In recent weeks, one of our programmers, Alejandro, has been working on a complete overhaul of the Player movement system and the Inventory system. These were written from scratch, implementing various Unity systems that will allow us in the future to improve player inputs, Control compatibility (Xbox Controllers, Playstation, etc.) and even improvements to the game's cinematics.

(Keep in mind that everything shown is still in development and is subject to change, almost all visual elements shown as models or animations are Placeholders and are not representative of the final product)
The player can now crouch and see his own body when looking down. In addition, the animations of the player's "camera" or "POV" were improved, which will now never be fixed and will have different animations depending on the player's movements, giving greater realism and immersion.

In the case of the Inventory, the vast majority of functionalities are already finished, with some touches missing such as the visuals
All these changes are not reflected in the current Demo, but will be present directly in the final version of the game.
Steps towards the future
In the following months, we will be 100% focused on improving some remaining aspects of the first level, in order to move on to the full development of the other following levels, especially The Parking and The Mansion.
At the same time, we will do everything possible to make ourselves seen even more, through devblogs, teasers and posts on social networks, participating in multiple events such as the aforementioned Crack Bang Boom and the Steam Next October Fest (which we are already registered for!), and with a little luck, events like the EVA PLAY or the Future Games Show August.
That's all!
We hope you have enjoyed this first Devblog here on Steam, and that you stay tuned for the coming months, as very interesting and important things are coming for the project.

See you in the next Devblog!
