We’re making progress on getting beyond.frontiers unflagged as a false positive, and we’ve got some good news to share!
Malwarebytes (forum Topic) and Bitdefender/Emsisoft (per mail) have both responded positively and swiftly, clearing the game from their lists of flagged files. We're grateful for their professionalism and prompt handling of the situation.
However, we’re still waiting on responses from a few others. Companies like Arcabit, BKav Pro, CTX, eScan, GData, MaxSecure, Panda, Trellix HX, and Vipre have received our sample files along with source code insights to help speed up the process, and we’re hopeful that they’ll follow suit soon.
Please allow at least one Definition update for your antivirus-program to stop flagging the game.
Arcabit has been impossible to contact for now, if someone knows the correct address or has contacts there, please reach out to us at press[at]beyondfrontiers.eu
Now, we can’t forget about the hero of the hour—an unnamed antivirus company that turned our request to fix a false positive into a dazzling sales pitch. Apparently, instead of simply acknowledging that their software flagged our game as malware and investigating how their "Bleeding Edge AI Scanning", they thought it was a great opportunity to try and sell us an "enterprise protection package" as the only way to whitelist beyond.frontiers. For now, we’ve kindly declined, as our budget is tight better spent on making beyond.frontiers even better.
Thanks again to all of you for your continued patience and trust during this process. We know this can be frustrating, but we’re confident everything will be resolved soon. Stay tuned for updates, and in the meantime, keep exploring the stars!
