Version 0.4.2 Hotfix: Smoothing the Edges
While the regular update schedule resumes next Friday, and normal work officially restarts on Monday (yes, believe it or not, we're humans too—most of the time), we’ve made some adjustments based on community feedback and a bit of post-holiday tinkering. Upload is currently in progress, and here’s what’s new, changed, and fixed!
New
- Tooltips for Equipment Effects: Easily understand the benefits of your equipment with new tooltips displaying their effects.
Changes
- Fixed Doppler Effect Crashes: Improved stability for the 3D sound system by addressing crashes caused by the Doppler effect.
- Temporarily Removed "Quit to Menu" Button: This feature needs some reworking to avoid causing potential issues and will return in a future update.
- Reduced Shield Recharge Timer by 75%: Faster recovery for your shields, making engagements a bit more forgiving.
Fixes
- Items Persistence Fixed: Items should no longer persist incorrectly between new games.
- Equipment Save Fix: Equipment is now saved with each purchase, ensuring items are not lost unexpectedly.
- Correct Sector Saves: Saving now ensures you’re in the correct sector after a jump, preventing unintended relocations.
This patch is a small but meaningful step to address immediate feedback and polish the experience. Thank you for your patience and continued support as we prepare for a fresh year of updates. See you in the Frontier next Friday!
