Greetings Dog Walkers! It has been one week since release and I want to say thank you to everyone who has played Dog Walking Adventures and left feedback. Leaving feedback has helped streamline development tremendously! Update 0.1.9 addresses some features/ bugs that players brought up when leaving feedback:
UPDATE 0.1.9
Dog Changes
- Updated Ellie model and animations.
Quest Changes
- Added a new type of quest, the 'Race' quest.
Map Changes
Woodland Walk
- Added music to Woodland Walk
Alpine Wander
- Added two lakes.
- Added birds.
Snowy Tops
- Changed Ellie walk quest to a new race quest. Race Ellie down Winter Isle Mountain!
- Added a new bridge connecting the main land to Winter Isle.
- Removed location 'The Great Ice'.
Developer Notes: Winter Isle was a massive area for improvement. It took the player way to long to walk up and down the Isle. Now with the Ski Lift, and the new race quest, the player can take a Ski Lift journey up and race Ellie down!
Audio
Music
- Players can now mute and unmute the music that starts playing by either pressing Q, or if using controller, Right Thumbstick Button.
Sounds
- Added waterfall sound to waterfalls.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed dog toy boundaries in Woodland Walk. If the players dog toy goes out of bounds (i.e. into a lake or anywhere else the dog can not retrieve it), it is returned to the player and the players dog returns to them.
- Fixed a bug that caused the dog and dog toy select menus to appear over the map select menu.
- Fixed a bug that caused the prompt notification to appear after closing the phone.
- Phone no longer appears in Polaris' hand while they are petting the dog.
- Player can no longer interact with their dog while moving in a Ski Lift.
Ellie and Maggie are still not unlockable/ walkable yet but you can still do their respective quests in Snowy Tops. I've got a big update planned for the end of February so there won't likely be another big update util then, besides some smaller patches. Until then have fun walking your dogs and be sure to leave more feedback! :D
