Sorry for being quiet for so long, but the good thing is that being silent usually means working the hardest.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been working on the quest and task system. New features are coming to expand what’s possible with procedural missions:
Side objectives: normal tasks might randomly trigger a surprise side objective, opening the door for chained missions.
NPCs on the job: you’ll run into NPCs doing their own tasks. If they die, you can pick up their job and finish it yourself.
Crafting goals: missions that require you to build or craft something in the world.
Merchant Missions:
Bounty hunting tasks: these can target any NPC in the world, and the contract might require them "dead or alive."
Down the road:
If you end up in debt with the merchants... a bounty will be placed on your head! (You'd better pay up).
The coolest part about this system is that a lot of these elements can mix and match, leading to much longer chains of tasks than usual.
PS: Here’s a screenshot of the FAA-86 (Argentine Assault Rifle) coming in a future update. I think that besides COD, this will be the only game to feature it.
