Hello everyone, future players of "Revived House".
We'd like to share a collection of material we use in our "Development Diary". Most of the time, we post updates on our official social media channels, but today it's time to bring them all together into one longer piece of news.
Most importantly - development is actively ongoing, and we have no plans to finish or stop.
Well, let's begin...
Many of you have noticed that we've updated the main images on our Steam page.
We've also updated the "Teaser."
View game pageWe'll also leave you a GIF from the Teaser.
But all of this is minor compared to the changes taking place in the project.
Since we're preparing a public demo for players, a great deal of time is being spent on the character's interactions with the surrounding world.
It's important to us that the controls feel intuitive and the character's reactions to the world feel obvious.
We try not to create mechanics that would be awkward or strange. Details that are already familiar to the genre are left unchanged. Item pickup, for example.
That said, we don't copy other projects - we create genuinely interesting implementations of already-familiar mechanics.
For example, watering plants is done using a hose that connects to a water source (a tap or a hydrant).
By the way, the hose is physically accurate and follows the character, catches on obstacles, and comes in different lengths and colors.
A small detail, but one that exists and has been implemented.
Next, we'll briefly touch on character customization (though we'll return with more detailed information in the future).
You'll be able to choose between two characters: a boy and a girl.
You'll also be able to change your character's clothing.
Next up...
A very important point.
A branching dialogue tree system for NPCs.
In the game, NPCs have their own personality, mood, and activity status, all of which affect the dynamics of the dialogue with them. As a result, conversations with NPCs will depend on the situation and on your relationship level with that character.
We won't drag this post out any further - we'll be back with more news soon.
Follow the project on our official social media channels and stay active in the Steam community - ask your questions. We're happy to answer them.
See you all soon.
The DungeonSnowdrops Team.
