Hey! We're back!
I'm going to be honest. An absolute torrent of things are going on for me outside of this game's development, which is hampering my ability to work on the project - it's at the point where I have so much to do that any leisure at all feels uncomfortable. I could yammer a lot more about that, but instead let's go over what's been done the past two weeks:
Level List Progress
While the visuals for the level list aren't done yet, the programming foundation has been placed! This new interface will show you a complete summary of all levels, as well as the artists (upper) and mappers (lower) behind them.

Looking at this again.. the colors may need to be adjusted just a bit.
The final level cards will have more color flare (so it doesn't look like just white text on a background) as well as more iconography to highlight everything.
Creating this actually involved a big rewrite for the regular level icons as well. In order to store information more neatly and properly, things had to be laid out much more coherently than before - which will make creating new UI for the level select much easier!
Controller Testing
While I don't really have cool flashy images to send for it, over the past two weeks I've basically been a "guinea pig" periodically to help test how Flowlab, our game's engine, talks to game controllers.
While the debugging quest isn't over yet, progress has been made towards figuring out the root of what's preventing controllers from working properly.
Next Week?
While next week isn't going to be spectacular or anything for Parse's development, a lot of the personal insanity that has left me short on time for anything is gone or is slowing down over this week. I'm very sorry to miss a week, but rest assured that I'll have the time to make enough for a devlog next weekend :). Thanks for following the journey as always!
